Quality of Life

“We hear every election year that ‘this is the most important election to date.’ Well, I do believe that this sentiment is especially true for the election of 2012. At stake is the very Godly and moral foundation of our country. Politicians throw the phrase “quality of life” around, but what does it really mean? To me it means preserving open space, protecting our rivers and providing local governments with the tools they need to cope with growth. It does not mean cutting funds for core local level government functions – like education and roads – just so lawmakers can preserve their pork projects.

Additionally, quality of life means protecting the things that make our community such a unique place to live. That’s why I support state and local land conservation efforts that protect the look and feel of our beautiful state of Iowa.
