Shannon Liss-Riordan Receives More Support from Labor
Boston, Massachusetts - Shannon Liss-Riordan, Democrat running for the U.S. Senate, announced
more labor endorsements of her campaign today. The new endorsements came from members of
United Steelworkers Local 12026S, IBEW Local 1228, and the Alliance of MBTA Unions.
"I am excited that our campaign continues to earn the support of the men and women in the organized labor community," said Shannon Liss-Riordan. "I got into this race to bring my fight for working people to
Washington, where powerful corporate interests have paralyzed progress and have allowed income inequality to grow. I am humbled by these endorsements."
"We are proud to endorse Shannon's campaign for United States Senate because she will place working men and women front and center in Washington," said Fletcher Fischer, Business Manager for IBEW Local 1228, which represents broadcasting workers across Massachusetts.
"Shannon has time and time again fought for workers and won," said Mark Dwight, President of United Steelworkers Local 12026S. "When looking for a Senator to represent our members in Washington, we
knew that Shannon is the right woman for the job. That is why we are endorsing her campaign for United States Senate."
"Shannon's record of fighting for working people and winning is why we are proud to endorse her campaign for United States Senate," said Francis Joyce, President of the Alliance of MBTA Unions. "She's been a champion for labor in the courtroom and will continue to be our champion as Massachusetts' next U.S. Senator."
These endorsements, together with six IBEW Locals who have previously endorsed Shannon's campaign for U.S. Senate, highlight the strong support Shannon has among working men and women across the
Commonwealth. Liss-Riordan's was the first campaign to receive the support of labor in this race.
